What happens during an initial evaluation?

During your first visit, Mind Body Voice and Speech completes a comprehensive evaluation. We'll discuss your primary concerns, review your relevant medical history, and gather data to develop a personalized plan of care. If follow up sessions are necessary, we will provide you with exercises to begin your home program.

How can I prepare for my first visit?

It is not necessary to prepare anything in advance, however you might find it helpful to:

  • gather records from any previous evaluations or visits with doctors and speech pathologists

  • ensure you have a quiet space for the session

  • prepare any questions you may want to ask

  • for teletherapy: verify that you have a strong internet connection and test your microphone before the session

How long will I have to attend sessions?

Length of follow-up sessions varies based on factors such as your diagnosis, the severity of your condition, and the goals set during your initial evaluation. Some clients see significant improvement in just a few sessions, while others may require several months or more.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your appointment to avoid any cancellation fees.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept various forms of payment, including Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, cash, and checks. Payment details will be provided to you during the scheduling process or when you arrive for your appointment.

Do you accept insurance?

Mind Body Voice and Speech operates as a private-pay clinic. After your payment we can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. We recommend that you check with your insurance provider about your speech therapy benefits.

Do you offer discounts for multiple sessions?

Yes, we offer discounted packages for multiple sessions. Ask us about our 4-session and 8-session packages for more details!

Do you offer teletherapy for clients outside of your local area?

Yes, we offer teletherapy services for clients who are located in California. We are also able to provide coaching services outside of our local area. Please contact us to discuss how teletherapy can work for you and to schedule a virtual appointment.
